Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Nero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simpson has chosen Devil on My Shoulder as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raphael Nero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson throws a hook but Nero blocks it.

Nero gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Simpson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Simpson misses with a body punch.
A right handed body shot lands from Nero.

Nero has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Simpson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nero has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Simpson.
Nero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Simpson wants to escape the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simpson is trying to remain composed but Nero is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
I really don't envy Simpson right now.
Simpson is keeping busy.
Simpson turns into Nero and is now in his guard.
Nero is pulling down on Simpson's head. It's preventing any offense from Simpson, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Raphael Nero just wasn't active enough.

Nero looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nero is nestled in close to Simpson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Simpson wants to get back to full guard.
Simpson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Nero seems to be working for a kimura but Simpson defends the submission attempt.
Nero is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Simpson!
Simpson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee warns Simpson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Nero prevents Simpson from getting the reversal.
Nero is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Simpson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Nero tries to control but Simpson wriggling away.
Nero lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Simpson hang on?
Nero breaks from Simpson's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Simpson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Nero lands a big shot there that rocks Simpson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Simpson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nero trying to control but Simpson is having none of it.
Simpson is looking to improve his position but Nero isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nero has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Simpson's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nero wants to control the pace but Simpson is squirming around nicely.
Simpson swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Nero cracks Simpson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Nero unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Simpson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Nero celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raphael Nero!
Raphael Nero gave a mention to L.A. Elite Clothing Co in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
