Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diaz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Look At Me Now. Nick Diaz has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Diaz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Aoki swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Diaz is now in Aoki's guard. A big mistake from Aoki there, giving up the dominant position!

Aoki has his foot on Diaz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diaz works his way back into a safe position though.

Diaz wants to stand but Aoki has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Aoki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Aoki prevents Diaz from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aoki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diaz is just riding it out for now. Aoki eventually gives up the hold.

Aoki maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Diaz could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Aoki has cracked it and Diaz is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Aoki!
