Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mayor Hammertown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammertown comes to the cage accompanied by mama said knock u out. Rasputin has chosen TURISAS - Rasputin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin wants to clinch
enabling Hammertown to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has been cut.
Hammertown lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rasputin circles away quickly and effectively.
A jab from Hammertown misses.
Hammertown dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hammertown throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rasputin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rasputin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hammertown sprawls well. Hammertown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rasputin gets slowly back to his feet.

Rasputin closes the distance and clinches.
Rasputin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hammertown gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hammertown wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A head punch on the inside from Rasputin fails to land.
Hammertown tries to break the clinch but Rasputin is controlling the position.

Hammertown breaks the clinch.
Hammertown misses with a lunging right hand

and Rasputin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hammertown's guard.

Rasputin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hammertown is working an open guard so Rasputin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A punch combination from Hammertown misses.
Rasputin moves away from the strike by Hammertown.
Hammertown stalks Rasputin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rasputin's face. Rasputin staggers backwards, shaken.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rasputin slips a jab and a cross from Hammertown.
Hammertown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mayor Hammertown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Some wild striking there from Hammertown.
Hammertown throws a series of punches but Rasputin avoids them all with ease.
Hammertown throws a lazy uppercut

and Rasputin counters by moving into the clinch.

Hammertown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rasputin shoots for a double leg takedown but Hammertown sprawls well. He's pushed Rasputin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mayor Hammertown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin.
Rasputin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rasputin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hammertown.
Hammertown misses with a hook.
Rasputin shoots in looking for a takedown but Hammertown manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rasputin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rasputin walks into a stiff left hand from Hammertown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hammertown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rasputin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hammertown jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rasputin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hammertown.
Hammertown lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Rasputin can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Hammertown and Rasputin drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Hammertown.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mayor Hammertown!
Mayor Hammertown decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
