Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rio Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvain Sauvage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rio Vegas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauvage shoots in for a double leg but Vegas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vegas crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sauvage - the referee stops the clock and Vegas gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sauvage. Vegas manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vegas enables Sauvage to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vegas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well Sauvage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
