The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshal stuffs the takedown attempt from Lightyear. Lightyear gets slowly back to his feet.
Marshal throws a right and a left that both miss.
Marshal misses with a two punch combination.
Marshal throws a series of punches but Lightyear moves out of range.
Lightyear shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marshal but Marshal pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lightyear.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lightyear is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marshal knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Marshal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lightyear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lightyear swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Marshal is now in Lightyear's guard. A big mistake from Lightyear there, giving up the dominant position!
