Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Reggie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Stribling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Reggie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Stribling!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stribling looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Reggie!

Reggie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stribling controlling from the full mount.
Stribling lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Reggie hang on?
Stribling is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Stribling lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Reggie slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Reggie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Reggie has his foot on Stribling's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stribling works his way back into a safe position though.
Stribling must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Reggie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Reggie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stribling has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stribling!

Stribling won't allow Reggie to sweep him here.
Stribling lands a couple of elbows.
Stribling sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Reggie wants to control but Stribling passes easily into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reggie tries to get to full guard but Stribling has control of the leg.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Reggie tries to roll over but Stribling keeps him under control.

Stribling is taking a breather. Reggie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Stribling prevents Reggie from improving his position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stribling looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Reggie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Reggie is trying to get back to full guard.
Stribling keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Reggie is looking to improve his position.
Stribling takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reggie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stribling.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Reggie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reggie uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stribling has time to react.
Stribling throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reggie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Stribling dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Reggie misses with a looping left.
Stribling ducks right into an uppercut from Reggie.
Reggie uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stribling has time to react.
Reggie shoots in for a double leg but Stribling sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reggie lands a body shot.
Reggie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stribling but Stribling pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Reggie throws a lazy right hand but Stribling sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Stribling moves in looking to clinch but Reggie pushes him off.
Tim Stribling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reggie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stribling.
Reggie uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stribling has time to react.
Reggie scores with a punch to the head.
Reggie tries to bum rush Stribling with a series of wild strikes but Stribling uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stribling is looking to clinch but Reggie is avoiding it.
Stribling thows a body shot but no joy.

Stribling moves into the clinch.
Stribling tries to land knees in the clinch but Reggie avoids the damage to the body.

Stribling tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Stribling using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Reggie has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

A right hook to the body lands for Stribling.
Stribling fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reggie wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stribling holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Stribling has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Reggie clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Reggie can't escape the position.
Stribling has good solid back control here.
Reggie is trying to get back to his feet but Stribling has full control of the position and if anything, Reggie has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Stribling has Reggie flattened out and is raining down punches.
Reggie is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Stribling trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Reggie doesn't escape.
Let's hope that Stribling has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Stribling has the hooks in. Reggie is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Reggie has hold of Stribling's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stribling manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Reggie wants to control the pace but Stribling is squirming around nicely.
Stribling is controlling an arm, preventing Reggie from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Stribling is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Reggie looking to secure an arm triangle but Stribling defends it well.
Reggie forces the positional change into back control.

Stribling is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Reggie gets his way!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Justin Reggie will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Reggie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stribling moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Stribling counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reggie's guard now.
Stribling stands and throws Reggie's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Reggie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Reggie tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Stribling has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Reggie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stribling with shots to the head and body - Reggie looks very uncomfortable down there.
Reggie tries to hold on but Stribling postures up.
Reggie tries to reverse the position but Stribling maintains control.
Stribling tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Reggie is looking to get to half guard.
Stribling raining down shots from the mount!

Stribling working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Stribling is controlling the pace.
Reggie tries to get to full guard but Stribling has control of the leg.
Stribling wants to pass the guard but Reggie is defending well.
Reggie is pressing down on Stribling's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Reggie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reggie keeping full guard, as Stribling tries to pass.

Reggie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Reggie looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Stribling puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Reggie is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stribling takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Reggie, as that shot connected.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tim Stribling comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Stribling has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
