PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Lebaron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes into a darkened arena with his song building. X gonna give it to ya - DMX kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Thomas Power told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lebaron moves in looking to clinch but Power pushes him off.
Daniel Lebaron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lebaron stuffs the takedown.
Lebaron scores with a nice strike.
Lebaron tries to close the distance and clinch but Power swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lebaron breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Lebaron lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Power is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lebaron sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lebaron tries to close the distance and clinch up but Power swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Power wanted to stand there but Lebaron had control of the position.

Lebaron has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Power is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lebaron.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lebaron is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lebaron is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Power is controlling him well.

Lebaron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Power's waist but Power gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lebaron off to one side.

Power is looking for a triangle but Lebaron pushes his legs off easily.

Lebaron got a little sloppy there for a moment and Power has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lebaron has managed to get both his arms back between Power's legs - danger averted.

Power pushes Lebaron against the cage. Power is working some dirty boxing. Power pushes off with a quick right hook! Lebaron goes down! Lebaron tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Power moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
