The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
An inside leg kick lands from Staton.
Staton misses with a body kick.
Staton misses with a kick to the body

and Dunk counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Dunk not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dunk is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Dunk winds up and cracks Staton with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dunk lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dunk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Dunk works his way into full mount!

The referee warns Staton that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Staton is rocked!
Staton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dunk loads up with a big shot that hurts Staton! He's pulled Dunk in close but Dunk has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Staton survive? More strikes from Dunk and Staton is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
