Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mareko Siaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo comes to the cage accompanied by I am a Nightmare Walking. Mareko Siaki is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mareko Siaki!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Siaki scores with a takedown into Halo's guard.
Siaki is looking to advance position but Halo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Halo avoids the attempt from Siaki to control.
Halo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Halo controlling his opponent.
Halo trying to control but Siaki is having none of it.

Halo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gabriel Halo wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Siaki lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Siaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Halo tries to avoid it but Siaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Halo to the ground. Halo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Siaki missing with a left hand there. Halo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Siaki scores with a jab to the jaw.
Siaki just misses with a punch to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Halo has Siaki up against the cage in a clinch.
Siaki takes an elbow to the temple.
Siaki is trying to push Halo away but Halo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Halo lands a nice elbow.
Siaki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Siaki wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nice elbow from Halo.
Halo trying to stall but Siaki improves his position.

Halo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Halo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Siaki momentarily.

Siaki shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Siaki throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Halo to regain full guard.
Siaki wants to control from the top but Halo keeps moving.
Siaki throws a big right hand that misses.
Siaki throws a strike but Halo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Siaki is on top in guard.
Halo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Siaki!
Halo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Siaki wants to control but Halo is having none of it.
Siaki is squirming around, avoiding Halo's attempts to control the action.

Halo is trying to control here but Siaki has managed to regain half guard.
Halo slows the pace down in half guard.
Halo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Halo stays in close to Siaki's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mareko Siaki will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Halo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Siaki.
Siaki pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Halo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Halo counters with a good low kick that Siaki was not able to check.

Siaki tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Halo connects with a body shot that sends Siaki's belly button to the back.
Halo connects with a looping right hand.
Halo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Siaki is breathing heavily.
Crunch! Halo slams his shin into Siaki's torso.
Halo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Halo thumps Siaki with a low kick.

Halo lands with a kick to the temple. Siaki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Halo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Halo lands with a right hand.
Halo connects with a solid leg kick.
Mareko Siaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Halo punishes Siaki's body with a nice straight punch.
Siaki gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Halo gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Siaki is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
