PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armin Merkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samson comes to the cage accompanied by The Venture Brothers Opening Theme. Merkel has chosen War Is My Destiny as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Samson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Merkel circles away quickly and effectively.
Samson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Merkel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Merkel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Samson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Samson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Merkel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Merkel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Merkel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Samson.

Samson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Merkel is trying to defend but Samson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That was a close round but I would say that Brock Samson will probably get the nod.
