Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pound comes to the cage accompanied by When I'm Gone - Eminem. Darren James is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Darren James!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pound shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. James is trying to defend but Pound finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
James is holding on to half guard well.
James tries to get to full guard but Pound has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pound trying to control the pace.
Pound has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Pound pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
James takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Pound looking to control and managing it successfully.
James gets back to half guard.
Pound is trying to control the action in half guard but James is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pound tries to pass the half guard into mount. James knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

James tries to roll over but Pound keeps him under control.
James makes his way to full guard. A much better position for James.

Pound wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
James is pressing down on Pound's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pound is holding on for now.
James seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pound does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

James is working for a submission of some sort.
Pound is looking to improve his position.

Pound slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pound wants to stand but James is controlling the position.
Pound will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

James is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pound defends it well.

James wants to work for an arm triangle but Pound is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pound stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. James swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pound gets to his feet - James follows without any prompting.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pound has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Pound has James up against the cage in a clinch.

Pound breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
James looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Pound throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pound tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pound.
Pound defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pound, as that shot connected.

Pound looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for James!
James is trying desperately to improve position.
James is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
A nice elbow there by Pound.
James bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pound swivels though and keeps the full guard.

James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pound looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pound looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pound!
