PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enos Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Witt!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Witt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Witt showed some decent athleticism there.
Witt is looking to advance position but Erikson won't allow it.
Erikson tries to roll over but Witt keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Witt is keen to just control but Erikson is a slippery customer.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Witt cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Witt cracks Erikson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Erikson is looking to improve his position but Witt isn't that keen on the idea.
Witt lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Witt gets caught napping as Erikson dives in and scores a takedown. Witt manages to retain guard.
Erikson wants to control from the top but Witt keeps moving.

Witt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Witt connects with a nice short shot to Erikson's temple.

Well Witt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
