PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Hogin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Bloom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogin comes into the arena with real american blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hulk Hogin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Orlando Bloom!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogin just misses with a punch to the body.
Hogin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hogin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bloom tries to avoid it but Hogin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bloom to the ground. Bloom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hogin throws a big shot that misses.
Bloom takes one on the button.

That has opened up Orlando Bloom's cut even more.
Bloom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hogin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick from Bloom lands but Hogin takes it in his stride.
Bloom lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bloom staying out of range there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hogin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hogin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bloom defending well though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogin looks to land a strike but Bloom avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Hogin wants to pass the guard but Bloom is keeping the position.
Bloom is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bloom has Hogin pulled in close to control his posture.
Hogin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bloom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bloom wants to sweep but no luck.
Hogin postures up in Bloom's guard and throws a big left but Bloom blocks it.

Hogin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bloom dives on top into guard.
Hogin pulls Bloom in to control the position.
Hogin scores with a nice shot.

Hogin is looking for a triangle but Bloom pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hogin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bloom doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bloom manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hogin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hogin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bloom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hogin throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hogin wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hogin is trying to control the position but Bloom postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bloom would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hogin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bloom!
Bloom regains half guard.

Hogin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bloom wants to control but Hogin is keeping busy.
Hogin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Hogin moves nicely into side control.
Hogin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Bloom is rocked!

Orlando Bloom's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Orlando Bloom's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
