The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Franco looks for the body kick but Sumrall saw that one coming.
Pat Sumrall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Franco lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sumrall has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sumrall and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Pat Sumrall's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

A relieved looking Begbie Franco thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
