Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bublasaur Venusaur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sloat Gresham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Venusaur's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bulbasaur bongo bebop. Gresham has chosen Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gresham clinches up against the cage.
Venusaur throws a head punch that misses.
Venusaur wants to break free but Gresham has control.
Gresham tries to score a body lock takedown but Venusaur shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A head punch on the inside from Venusaur fails to land.

Gresham decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Gresham working for submissions but it's allowed Venusaur to get to half guard.
Gresham tries to get to full guard but Venusaur has control of the leg.

Gresham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Venusaur tries to stand and escape but Gresham is controlling the position.

Venusaur postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Gresham to stand up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gresham blocks an uppercut.

Gresham manages to pull guard.
Venusaur trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gresham's guard.

Gresham working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Venusaur has passed into half guard!

Venusaur decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Gresham moves into range and clinches up with Venusaur.

Venusaur throws a head punch that misses.
Venusaur lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gresham backwards.
Gresham tries to pull guard but Venusaur forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gresham blocks an uppercut.
Venusaur looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gresham jumps guard but Venusaur stands there with Gresham around his waist. Gresham gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bublasaur Venusaur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sloat Gresham.

Gresham breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Venusaur forces Gresham back against the cage and clinches.

Venusaur effectively controlling the action here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gresham.

Venusaur throws a shot from downtown. Gresham moves away and avoids it.

Gresham throws out a loose jab but Venusaur uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gresham shoots in and drives through. Venusaur sprawls well.
Gresham scores with a jab to the jaw.

Gresham forces Venusaur back against the cage and clinches.
Venusaur is struggling to control the position.

Gresham ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gresham no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Venusaur won't allow Gresham to sweep him here.

Gresham has his foot on Venusaur's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Venusaur works his way back into a safe position though.
Gresham wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Venusaur tries to free his leg and advance position but Gresham is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gresham has his feet on Venusaur's thighs here. He's pushed Venusaur off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Venusaur screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Sloat Gresham really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
