James has chosen Dead or Alive as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Guevara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Guevara fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with James, pushing him back against the cage.
James goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Guevara smiles and moves away.
James takes a jab right on the kisser.
No luck for Guevara with that takedown attempt.
Guevara displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
James throws a series of punches but Guevara avoids them all with ease.
Guevara lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Guevara lands a jab to the nose.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Guevara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Guevara misses with a few strikes there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Guevara . James does a little dance to reset his feet.
James misses with a wild combination.
A left lands for Guevara .

James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Guevara defends it nicely.
Juan Carlos Guevara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jessie James.
Guevara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but James manages to avoid it.
James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Guevara scores with a jab to the jaw.
James throws a nice looking combination but Guevara bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Horrible takedown by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Guevara which made him look bad.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Guevara tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Guevara to the ground. Guevara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
James wants to clinch up but Guevara keeps it at a distance.
James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Guevara scores with a hook.
James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Guevara connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Guevara scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

James is rocked!
Guevara is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Guevara knocks James out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
