Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Horato Muchada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spike Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Muchada might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Duran Duran - Ordinary World. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Horato Muchada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Spike Law!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muchada throws an overhand right that lands on Law's shoulder, as Law tries to avoid the shot.
Muchada does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Good exchange - Muchada coming out on top.
Law shoots for a double leg takedown but Muchada sprawls well. He's pushed Law's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Muchada clinches up with Law and pushes him back against the cage.
Muchada effectively controlling the action here.

Muchada blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Muchada is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Law to keep the fight standing.

Muchada using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Law has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Law breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Muchada throws a series of punches but Law moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Muchada.

Law misses with a low kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Muchada.
Horato Muchada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Muchada tries a head kick but it misses.
Law moves out of range of the strikes.
Law lands with a nice body kick.
Law has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Law there as he acknowledges the shot.
Law has closed the distance and engaged Muchada in a clinch.

Muchada has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Law uses from the top position.
Law passes into half guard.

Muchada has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Law can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Law drops back, looking for a kneebar! Muchada looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Muchada looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Muchada!

Law manages to get back to half guard.

Law is bucking up trying to escape but Muchada cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Muchada tries to control but Law wriggling away.

Muchada with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Law bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Law with a flurry of punches that miss.
Law in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Law wants to pass the guard but Muchada is keeping the position.
Muchada manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Law manages to get himself to full guard.
Muchada got a little sloppy there for a moment and Law has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Muchada has managed to get both his arms back between Law's legs - danger averted.
Muchada advances to half guard.

Law turns into Muchada and is now in his guard.
Law stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Muchada has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Law manages to get his head free but now Muchada has transitioned to an armbar! Law grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Muchada! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Horato Muchada!
