Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Curtis James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raven Red Feathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Red Feathers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'm Alive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red Feathers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from James finds it's way round the side to connect with Red Feathers's head.
Red Feathers stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet.

James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Red Feathers circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Curtis James. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Red Feathers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. James looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Red Feathers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but James is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
James is looking for a sweep.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Red Feathers tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Red Feathers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well.
James is trying to get back to half guard.

Red Feathers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Red Feathers is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James is just riding it out for now. Red Feathers eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

James has his foot on Red Feathers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Red Feathers works his way back into a safe position though.

James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Red Feathers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Red Feathers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Red Feathers is looking to work some ground and pound but James has wrist control.

Red Feathers has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing James to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Red Feathers is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - James pulls down on the head and he's put Red Feathers to sleep! This one is all over!
