Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Veron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Birmiski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'm Back - T.I. Veron has chosen Breathe - Prodigy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ari Birmiski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmiski tries a head kick but it misses.
Veron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Birmiski, pushing him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Veron.
Birmiski pushes Veron back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Birmiski misses with a body punch.
Veron is pressed up against the cage. Birmiski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Veron down to the mat. Veron avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Birmiski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Good leg kick by Veron there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Birmiski needs to keep his hands up - Veron had a free shot at his head there.
Veron checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Birmiski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Veron - the referee stops the clock and Birmiski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Veron. Birmiski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Veron scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Birmiski doesn't seem bothered though.

Hugo Veron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Birmiski throws a hook to the side of Veron's head but Veron sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hugo Veron is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Birmiski tries to clinch but Veron is having none of it.
Veron stuffs the takedown attempt from Birmiski. Birmiski gets slowly back to his feet.
Veron scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Birmiski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Veron circles away.
Birmiski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Veron connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Birmiski scrambles back to his feet.
Birmiski takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Birmiski. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Veron manages to work his way to half guard, despite Birmiski's best efforts.

Hugo Veron showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
