Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Groot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Groot comes to the cage accompanied by Beautiful Death - Wintersun. Ramon Groot had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramon Groot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Bobby Brown!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.
Groot swinging wildly here.
A head kick from Brown lands but Groot takes it in his stride.
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Groot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Groot. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bobby Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown fails with the takedown
and Groot counters with an outside leg kick.
Ramon Groot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Brown.

Groot slaps away a takedown attempt from Brown, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Brown throws a push kick but Groot slaps the foot to one side.
Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Groot is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Groot circles away and we're back to standing.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Groot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brown is defended easily by Groot.
Groot stalks Brown and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Brown's face. Brown staggers backwards, shaken.
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown checks a leg kick nicely.
Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Groot which made him look bad.
Groot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Groot.
A punch lands to the side of Brown 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Bobby Brown has been cut.
Brown fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Groot bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Groot throws a solid leg kick but Brown takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Groot.
Groot throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brown blocks a head kick by Groot.
Groot thows a body shot but no joy.
Brown misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brown takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A thudding body kick lands there by Groot!
Groot throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Groot scores with a jab. Brown acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Groot lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Groot tries to clinch up.
Brown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Groot moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Groot scores with a hook to the body. Brown takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Groot is looking to slow Brown down with leg kicks.

Brown moves out of range of the body kick.
Brown is trying desperately to land a takedown but Groot is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Brown.

Groot throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Groot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Groot makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Brown really felt that one!

Groot throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brown sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Groot but Groot pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Groot wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.

and Groot counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A shot to the liver by Groot. Beautiful body shot.
Groot feints and then cracks Brown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brown down.

Brown has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Groot finds it's way round the side to connect with Brown's head.

Groot lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Brown's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A punch lands to the side of Brown 's head but he takes it in his stride.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Groot lands a big head kick that sends Brown tumbling to the mat! Groot takes a step backwards and waves Brown back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Groot is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Brown has his hands clasped together but Groot extends an breaks Brown's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Groot.
