Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Verdmont Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson's entrance music is So long and thanks for all the fish. A fine choice. Jose Pinto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson throws a lazy uppercut
and Pinto counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pinto misses with a takedown attempt - Bronson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bronson looks to land a right hand but Pinto moved out of range.
A combination from Bronson does no damage.
Pinto lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

The fighters circling - Pinto throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bronson leaves Pinto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pinto shoots in for a takedown but Bronson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Pinto shoots in and bounces Bronson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bronson is looking to stand up but Pinto won't let him.
Bronson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pinto goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bronson misses with a punch to the body.
Pinto is trying to drag Bronson to the mat but Bronson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pinto goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bronson prevents it.

Bronson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Verdmont Bronson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pinto moves into the clinch successfully.
Pinto tries for a takedown but Bronson manages to get underhooks.
Pinto has Bronson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bronson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bronson manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Pinto or perhaps it was just good defense by Bronson which made him look bad.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bronson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pinto.

and Bronson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pinto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bronson as he avoids it easily.
Bronson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Pinto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bronson as he jumps to the side.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bronson throws a lazy right hand but Pinto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bronson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Donk. Bronson catches Pinto right on the button with a cross.
Pinto gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bronson walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Pinto drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bronson swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Pinto's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
