Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yaz Rjolnic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patty Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rjolnic comes to the cage accompanied by Platypus by Mr.bungle. Patterson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Faint - Hospital. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson misses with a takedown attempt - Rjolnic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rjolnic looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Patterson looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rjolnic misses the jab.
Patterson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rjolnic circles away.
Yaz Rjolnic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patty Patterson.
Rjolnic paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rjolnic throws a head kick but Patterson moves out of range.

Patterson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Patterson showed some decent athleticism there.

Patterson is trying to work for a kimura but Rjolnic is defending well.
Rjolnic is trying to maintain the position but Patterson is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patterson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rjolnic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Patterson is looking for a kimura but Rjolnic is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Patterson to get the leverage.

Patterson wants to take a breather but Rjolnic is having none of it.

Patterson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Rjolnic has managed to free his arm - good work.
Patterson is pressing down on Rjolnic's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rjolnic is holding on for now.
Rjolnic preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Patterson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rjolnic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rjolnic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Patterson passes the guard and advances to mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rjolnic wants to get back to his feet.
Patterson keeps control of the position as Rjolnic tries to break free.
Rjolnic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patterson on the ground.

Patterson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rjolnic has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
I would not like to be Rjolnic right now.
