PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micah Magnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes to the cage accompanied by Fire Your Guns. Micah Magnum told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnum tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kelly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Magnum somewhat.
Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Magnum was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly.
Kelly stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kelly wants it to stay on the feet.
Kelly feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Magnum's calf.

Magnum takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Magnum closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Magnum just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kelly's brow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kelly is pressed up against the cage. Magnum has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kelly down to the mat. Kelly avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Albert Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micah Magnum.

Kelly chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Magnum can pounce on him.
Magnum will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
