Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Evan D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Clement (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clement has chosen Infinite Mass - Bullet as his entrance music. Evan D has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan D!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Clement!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Good work by Clement as he checks the leg kick.
D stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and D wants it to stay on the feet.
Clement keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Clement shoots in for a double leg but D sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Clement tries to clinch up but D circles away and keeps his distance.

D scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

D passes the guard and advances to mount!

D swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Clement is now in D's guard. A big mistake from D there, giving up the dominant position!

Clement stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. D swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Clement drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but D manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Clement has D in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

D slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Evan D will probably get the nod.

Well D has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
