Martinez has chosen Iced Earth - A Question of Heaven as his entrance music. Mulroon Deforz could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Richard Martinez's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez looks to score with a jab to the body but Deforz is just out of range.
Martinez clobbers Deforz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Martinez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Deforz.

Deforz clinches.
Deforz trying to stall but Martinez improves his position.

Deforz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Martinez is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Deforz to the mat. Deforz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Martinez prevents Deforz from getting back to his feet.
Deforz has Martinez pulled in close to control his posture.
Martinez trying to control but Deforz is working from the bottom.

Martinez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Martinez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martinez content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Deforz has locked up a guillotine! Deforz's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Martinez is holding on here and Deforz must be using up a lot of energy. Martinez has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Deforz gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
