Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alfa Uros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Apanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uros comes into the arena with Dirty Diana blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Uros counters with a three punch combo that has Apanson backing up. Apanson nods at Uros to acknowledge the strikes.
Uros scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Apanson doesn't seem bothered though.

You can see the frustration on Apanson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Apanson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Uros is refusing to be controlled, as Apanson sits in half guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Uros's corner calls for a 1-2. Uros obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Uros has hold of Apanson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Apanson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Uros can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Apanson is looking to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Uros changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Apanson tries to avoid it but Uros manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Apanson to the ground. Apanson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Apanson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Uros has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Uros and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Uros on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Apanson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Uros with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Uros is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Apanson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Apanson's back!
Johan Apanson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Apanson staying busy and making it hard for Uros to control.
I really don't envy Apanson right now.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Apanson enables Uros to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Apanson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Apanson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Uros doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Uros manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I would just about give that final round to Johan Apanson.
