The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krup with a poor takedown
letting Rutger counter with a right hand.

Rutger has closed the distance and engaged Krup in a clinch.
Rutger lands with a left to the head.
Rutger scores with a nice hook to the head.

Rutger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Krup uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rutger has time to react.
Rutger throws a half hearted mid kick.
Krup fails with the takedown.
Krup shoots for a takedown but Rutger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Russ Rutger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jizzy Krup.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rutger.
Krup misses with a takedown attempt - Rutger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

After the fight, Russ Rutger was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
