Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pappy Shrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shrew comes into the arena with In The Morning blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shrew feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Longs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Long scores with a head kick. Shrew tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Shrew tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Crunch! Long slams his shin into Shrew's torso.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Long shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shrew pinned against the ropes. Shrew gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shrew thows a body shot but no joy.
Shrew scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Long doesn't seem bothered though.
Horrible takedown by Shrew or perhaps it was just good defense by Long which made him look bad.
Long moves out of range as Shrew strikes.

Shrew slips a jab and a cross from Long.

Shrew closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shrew lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Long keeping moving, preventing Shrew from controlling successfully.
Long not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shrew avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Shrew wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving.
Long trying to keep a closed guard but Shrew is proving a slippery customer.

Long escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shrew gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Long is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Long is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shrew stuffs the takedown attempt from Long. Long gets slowly back to his feet.
Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Shrew slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Miles Long has been cut.
Pappy Shrew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Long throws a right and a left that Shrew avoids nicely.
Shrew drops his hands momentarily and Long takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Long fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Shrew is out of range.
Long rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shrew moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Long moves in looking to clinch but Shrew pushes him off.
Shrew jabs Long to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Long. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

That has opened up Miles Long's cut even more.
Shrew fakes the body blow, causing Long to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Long goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
