Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luca Brasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian McGordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brasi lands a glancing blow to the side of McGordon's head.
McGordon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Brasi throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McGordon counters with a nice uppercut.
McGordon fails with a takedown attempt.
Brasi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McGordon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brasi lands a nice shot that snaps McGordon's head back.
McGordon instigates a clinch.
McGordon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brasi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

McGordon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McGordon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Brasi throws a right and a left that McGordon avoids nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
McGordon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McGordon closes the distance and clinches.
McGordon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brasi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brasi takes the fight into the clinch.
McGordon is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brasi is defending well.

McGordon swings away with an uppercut that misses.
McGordon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brasi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
McGordon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Brasi tries to pull guard but McGordon won't allow it.

McGordon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brasi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Brasi lands a right hand.
McGordon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brasi gets the underhooks and prevents it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brasi gets control of McGordon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brasi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Brasi has his foot on McGordon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McGordon works his way back into a safe position though.

Brasi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Brasi working for a triangle but McGordon defends it easily.
McGordon stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Brasi throws up his legs and catches McGordon in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! McGordon tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Brasi! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Luca Brasi!
