The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Megaphny.
Burns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Megaphny manages to avoid it.
Burns lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Burns looking to score a takedown here. Megaphny is defending well but Burns drives through and ends up in Megaphny's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Burns throws a strike but Megaphny rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Burns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Megaphny doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Megaphny manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Megaphny got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Megaphny has managed to get both his arms back between Burns's legs - danger averted.
Megaphny must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A very excited looking Carl Burns rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
