The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maximus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wong moves away.
A good leg kick by Maximus.
Maximus throws a head kick but Wong moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Maximus!
Maximus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maximus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Maximus throws a sloppy head kick and Wong moves out of range easily.

Maximus scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Wong clinches up with Maximus and pushes him back against the ropes.
Wong looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Maximus breaks from the clinch.

A head kick misses from Maximus.
Wong fails with an attempt to clinch.
Maximus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maximus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wong looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Wong counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wong.
Wong tries to land a knee to the head but Maximus blocks with his arms.

Maximus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wong takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Maximus looks low and kicks high, catching Wong right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

It looks like Chaz Wong has been cut.
Maximus misses with a hook. Wong ducked under it nicely.
Wong is looking to clinch but Maximus is avoiding it.

Maximus sizes up Wong with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Crunch! Maximus slams his shin into Wong's torso.
Maximus lands a slapping body shot.
Maximus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maximus scores with a jab. Wong acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Wong doesn't manage to clinch there - Maximus circles away.
Maximus lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Maximus counters with a good, hard body kick but Wong shrugs it off.
Wong has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Maximus.
Maximus connects with a high kick.
Oh Wong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Maximus lands a head kick that bluckles Wong and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Maximus no doubt looking to push for a finish!
Maximus closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Wong out cold! Wong corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
