The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown drives through and clinches with Slice against the cage.

Slice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Slice fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Slice shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Brown is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown wants to improve his position but Slice is controlling well.
Slice takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Slice prevents Brown from improving his position.
Brown flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Slice in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that Slice has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Brown is looking to control Slice's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Slice tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brown controls his leg.
