Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Rosales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers has chosen We Run This - Missy Elliot as his entrance music. Jerome Powers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Powers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Powers closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rosales's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powers tries to free his leg and advance position but Rosales is retaining full guard.
Powers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rosales has his foot on Powers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Powers works his way back into a safe position though.

Jerome Powers dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Powers throws a series of punches but Rosales avoids them all with ease.
Powers scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Oh Rosales is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A combination from Powers does no damage.
Powers darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Powers lands a huge takedown. Rosales is out but the ref is slow to react and Powers lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Rosales lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
