Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Edgerton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joel Edgerton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joel Edgerton!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgerton throws a quick inside leg kick.
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown but Edgerton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Edgerton shoots in for a double leg but Armstrong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Edgerton with a lazy takedown attempt
and Armstrong counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Armstrong seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Edgerton looking for submissions off his back.
Armstrong prevents Edgerton from improving his position.
Armstrong is keen to just control but Edgerton is a slippery customer.
Armstrong is really struggling to control Edgerton but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Edgerton moves into full guard.

Armstrong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Armstrong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Edgerton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Armstrong has managed to get both his arms back between Edgerton's legs - danger averted.

Edgerton looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Armstrong is defending well. Edgerton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Armstrong has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Edgerton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Joel Edgerton spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
