Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rabban Harkonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harkonnen has chosen Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down as his entrance music. Rabban Harkonnen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerard Mullins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Rabban Harkonnen!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harkonnen tries a head kick but it misses.
Mullins tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Harkonnen counters with a nice uppercut.
Nice cross by Harkonnen.
Harkonnen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mullins shoots in but no luck this time.
Harkonnen throws a head kick that half lands.

Harkonnen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Harkonnen breaks from the clinch.
Harkonnen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mullins.

Harkonnen takes the fight into the clinch.

Harkonnen tries to throw a body punch but Mullins avoids it by throwing Harkonnen back against the cage.

Harkonnen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mullins shoots and misses
and Harkonnen counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerard Mullins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mullins with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mullins blocks a head kick by Harkonnen.
Harkonnen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Mullins throws a body punch but Harkonnen moves out of range.

Harkonnen closes the distance and clinches.

Mullins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mullins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mullins is on top in guard.
Harkonnen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mullins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Harkonnen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mullins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harkonnen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harkonnen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mullins passes into half guard.
Mullins wants to free his trapped foot but Harkonnen is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Mullins is working for a submission of some sort.

Harkonnen gets full guard.
Mullins is pushing down on Harkonnen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harkonnen is fighting to maintain full guard but Mullins has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mullins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Harkonnen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mullins works his foot free and advances to mount.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mullins is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Harkonnen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Harkonnen!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gerard Mullins will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mullins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Harkonnen counters with a flying knee. Nice.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Harkonnen.
Mullins walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Harkonnen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Harkonnen throws a head kick that half lands.
Mullins blocks a head kick by Harkonnen.
Mullins sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Mullins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Harkonnen was covering up waiting for the punch and Mullins finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mullins is looking to advance position but Harkonnen has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Mullins is trying to escape the mount.

Harkonnen is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Harkonnen misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Mullins counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mullins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Harkonnen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mullins looking to sit in guard and control but Harkonnen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Harkonnen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Harkonnen throws a push kick but Mullins slaps the foot to one side.
Harkonnen digs a good hook to Mullins's body.
Both fighters circling a little - Harkonnen finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Mullins throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Mullins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Harkonnen can pounce on him.
Gerard Mullins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harkonnen scores with a shot to the body.
Harkonnen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rabban Harkonnen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mullins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rabban Harkonnen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Mullins fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Harkonnen checks it well.
Mullins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mullins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harkonnen's guard.

Harkonnen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gerard Mullins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mullins is staying active underneath Harkonnen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mullins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mullins's corner calls for a 1-2. Mullins obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Harkonnen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harkonnen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mullins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nice straight punches there by Harkonnen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Harkonnen.

Harkonnen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mullins off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Mullins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mullins showed some decent athleticism there.

Mullins wants to control but Harkonnen is keeping him busy.
Mullins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mullins wants to advance to full mount but Harkonnen doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Mullins trying to control the position from guard on top but Harkonnen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rabban Harkonnen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Harkonnen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
