Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Armbar Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza dodges the punch combination from Assassin.
Assassin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Assassin lands in his opponent's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Assassin wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.
Assassin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Assassin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Souza works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Souza has his foot on Assassin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Assassin works his way back into a safe position though.
Assassin controls from within his opponent's guard.

Assassin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Assassin stands up and waves to Souza to follow him.
Souza doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Assassin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Assassin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Souza's guard.
Souza had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Assassin defends it easily.
Souza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Assassin defends well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Souza uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Assassin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Souza tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Assassin is in Souza's guard.
Assassin is looking to stand up but Souza won't let him.
Assassin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Souza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Assassin defends well.
Souza looks gassed!
Assassin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Souza is keeping the position for now.

Souza keeping moving, preventing Assassin from controlling successfully.
Assassin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Armbar Assassin.
Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Assassin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Souza fails with a takedown attempt.
Assassin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Assassin digs a good hook to Souza's body.
Assassin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Souza quickly recovers to half guard.
Assassin is looking to take a break and control but Souza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Assassin is just content to waste time from the top position. Souza takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Assassin throws a big right hand that misses.

Assassin is looking to work some ground and pound but Souza has wrist control.
Assassin wants to stand but Souza is controlling his posture from full guard.
Assassin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Souza is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Souza has escaped and now he's on top!
Souza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Assassin controls Souza momentarily but Souza frees himself.
Assassin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Souza on the ground.
Souza trying to control but Assassin is working from the bottom.
Assassin has control of Souza's left arm, preventing Souza from doing any damage.
Souza wants to control from the top but Assassin keeps moving.
Assassin wants to sweep here but Souza controlling him for the moment.
Assassin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Armbar Assassin just wasn't active enough.
Assassin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Souza works his way to full guard. Good work.
Souza pushes a forearm under Assassin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Assassin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
