Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Assange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assange comes to the cage accompanied by Eddie Van Halen - Eruption. Boyd has chosen Family Tradition as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assange lands a nice looking body shot.
A big left from Assange misses.
Boyd moves out of range as Assange strikes.
Boyd takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A solid body kick from Boyd.
Assange loads up on a big right hand but Boyd slips the punch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Boyd.
Assange misses with a shot to the body
and Boyd counters with an inside leg kick.
Boyd misses with a straight left.
Boyd fails to land with a series of punches.
Assange rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boyd moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boyd tries to work over Assange's front leg with a kick but Assange checks it.
Assange throws an overhand right that lands on Boyd's shoulder, as Boyd tries to avoid the shot.
Assange throws a jab when Boyd was well out of range.
Boyd keeps the fight on the outside.
Boyd misses with a hook. Assange ducked under it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Assange checks a low kick from Boyd.
Boyd throws out a powerful jab.
Boyd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Assange throws a lazy right hand but Boyd sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Boyd uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Assange.
Assange pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Assange on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Assange missing with a left hand there. Boyd was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Boyd takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Assange misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Assange is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Boyd throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Assange stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Assange fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Assange misses with a wild body shot.
Boyd walks into a stiff left hand from Assange.
Boyd throws the kick towards the body but Assange avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Assange swings widly with a right hand
and Boyd counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Assange cracks Boyd with an open hand slap.
Boyd takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Assange throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boyd throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Assange tries to clinch
and Boyd counters with a stiff right hand.
Boyd throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Assange misses with an uppercut
and Boyd counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Assange lands a nice shot that snaps Boyd's head back.
Assange takes a swing at Boyd's ribcage but misses.
A lazy left from Assange finds it's target.
Assange throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Assange throws a right and a left that Boyd avoids nicely.
Boyd throws a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boyd dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Assange. That did some damage!
James Assange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyd tried to score with a low kick but Assange checks it.
Boyd shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A combination from Assange does no damage.
Boyd lands with a thumping leg kick.
Assange checks a leg kick nicely.
Assange looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Assange misses with a straight right.
Assange throws out a loose jab but Boyd uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boyd with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Assange to score with a decent uppercut.
Assange catches Boyd with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Boyd moves out of range of the strikes.
Assange takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Boyd misses with a few strikes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Assange listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Boyd is rocked!
Assange circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Boyd to the canvas! Boyd doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Assange keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Assange!
