Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Redondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Peters has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kelvin Redondo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kelvin Redondo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Peters!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters throws a shot to the body.

Redondo scores a takedown into full mount!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Peters tries to reverse the position but Redondo maintains control.

Redondo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Peters is now in Redondo's guard. A big mistake from Redondo there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peters with a flurry of punches that miss.

Peters postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peters slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Peters throws a big right hand that misses.
Peters not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Peters tries to free his leg and advance position but Redondo is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Redondo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Redondo showed some decent athleticism there.

Peters manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Redondo manages to get himself to full guard.

Redondo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Peters is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Redondo is trying to keep Peters in close.
Redondo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peters on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK we're going to have a standup here. David Peters hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Redondo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Redondo has gone for a leg lock! Peters slips out almost immediately though and dives into Redondo's guard.

Redondo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Peters is trying to defend but Redondo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Peters is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Redondo defends it well.

Redondo seems a little lost for a moment, as Peters dominates the positioning.

Peters swings around for an armbar but Redondo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Peters's guard.

Redondo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Peters is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Redondo, into his guard.
Peters stays in close to Redondo's body and controls the position.

Peters working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Redondo's head.
Peters working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peters stands and throws Redondo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Peters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Oooooh!!! Peters has knocked Redondo down with a huge combo! Peters steps away and waves a wobbly Redondo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Redondo is rocked!


It looks like Kelvin Redondo has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peters goes for a small jab and connects. Now Peters goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Redondo stumbles back but Peters runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Redondo to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Redondo will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). David Peters!
A relieved looking David Peters thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
