The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Gambacorto.
Salabim avoids a kick to the body.
Gambacorto cracks Salabim with a right hand to the side of the head.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Salabim wants to control but Gambacorto is keeping him busy.
Salabim is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gambacorto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Salabim throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Salabim lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Salabim wants to free his trapped foot but Gambacorto is holding on for dear life with his legs.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Salabim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gambacorto doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Salabim.

Salabim is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Gambacorto moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Mark Gambacorto gave a mention to 1337 ANZAC in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
