Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Surface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Collten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collten swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Surface counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Surface bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Paul Surface has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Collten feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Surface will probably get the nod.

No joy there for Collten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Surface throws a right hand that Collten ducks under and follows up with a left that Collten also avoids with ease.

Nick Collten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Collten changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Surface tries to avoid it but Collten manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Surface to the ground. Surface escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Collten works Surface's body with a nice hook.
Collten shoots in for a double leg but Surface sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Surface has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Collten off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Nick Collten comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Collten has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
