PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bic Boi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keni Farc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boi just misses with a punch to the body.
Boi misses with a takedown attempt - Farc sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Farc's waist but Farc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boi off to one side.
Boi shoots in looking for a takedown. Farc tries to sprawl out of it but Boi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Farc manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bic Boi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Farc changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boi tries to avoid it but Farc manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boi to the ground. Boi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Boi wants to control from the top but Farc keeps moving.
Boi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Farc is looking for a triangle but Boi pushes his legs off easily.

Farc is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Farc has his hands on Boi's head, controlling the position.
Boi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Boi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Farc works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Boi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Farc is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boi forces his way into half guard.
Boi is keen to just control but Farc is a slippery customer.

Farc throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boi moves to clinch but Farc breaks away

and Farc counters by moving into the clinch.

Farc pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Farc throws a leg kick which misses Boi's front leg but catches the back leg as Boi tries to avoid it.
Boi shoots in for a takedown but Farc shows good takedown defense.
Farc shoots in for a double leg but Boi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Farc moves into the clinch.

Farc is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Boi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Boi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Farc managing to block the knees to the body from Boi.
Boi fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Farc decides to pull guard.
Boi trying to control but Farc is working from the bottom.
Farc wants to sweep here but Boi controlling him for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Farc has Boi pulled in close to control his posture.

Farc isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Boi stacks Farc on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Boi!

Boi throws an elbow but Farc slips to the side and avoids it well.
You can see the frustration on Farc's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Boi wants to take a breather but Farc manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Boi.

Boi has gone for a leg lock! Farc slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boi's guard.

Farc stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Farc has picked Boi up and slammed him! Boi can't keep hold of the triangle and Farc manages to pass to side control!

Farc wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boi, who protects the arm well.
Farc takes a little break here. Boi wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Farc is trying to get an arm triangle but Boi is defending well.

Farc's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Keni Farc showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Farc fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boi, pushing him back against the cage.

Boi dives in and grabs Farc's left leg, looking for a takedown. Farc pushes down on Boi's head and hops out.
Boi shoots for a double leg takedown but Farc sprawls well. He's pushed Boi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Farc ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Farc no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Farc has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Boi off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Farc tries to bum rush Boi with a series of wild strikes but Boi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Boi scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Farc stuffs the takedown.
Boi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Farc swivels and escapes.
Farc smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Farc drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boi pulls his leg out and moves away.

Keni Farc comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Farc has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
