The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stainz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Carvalho - the referee stops the clock and Stainz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Carvalho. Stainz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Stainz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Carvalho on his heels. He'll look to pass Carvalho's guard now, I'm sure.

Stainz postures up in Carvalho's guard and throws a big left but Carvalho blocks it.

Carvalho working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Stainz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Carvalho off and cradles Stainz's limp body as Carvalho celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Lyoto Carvalho!
A relieved looking Lyoto Carvalho thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
