Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Truelove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Truelove!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul throws a leg kick that misses.
Paul walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Truelove checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Paul does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Paul throws a half hearted mid kick.
Truelove closes the distance and clinches up with Paul, looking for a takedown. Truelove pushes Paul against the cage but Paul circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Truelove is looking to clinch but Paul is avoiding it.
Paul throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Truelove closes this distance looking for a takedown but Paul circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paul keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Frank Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Truelove.
A jab-cross combination lands for Paul and sends Truelove crashing to the mat! Paul follows him down to the mat - Truelove regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Truelove is rocked!

It looks like Johnny Truelove has been cut.
Paul trying to control the action but Truelove is working from the bottom.
Truelove is still in real trouble! Can Paul finish him?

Truelove seems to have recovered his senses.
Paul seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Truelove does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Truelove is looking for a sweep. Paul is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Truelove fails with an attempt to clinch.
Paul jabs Truelove right on the nose. Truelove blinks but takes it well.
Paul pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Paul ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Paul misses with a leg kick.
Paul tries to close the distance and clinch but Truelove swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Truelove closes this distance looking for a takedown but Paul circles away.

Paul gets a takedown into half guard.
Truelove looks gassed!
Paul is looking to advance position but Truelove won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paul missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Paul throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Truelove really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paul. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Truelove closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Paul to the mat! Paul manages to get full guard.

Paul controls Truelove momentarily but Truelove frees himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Paul is on top in guard.

Truelove not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Paul throwing shots but Truelove is blocking nicely.
Paul passes the guard and advances to mount!
Truelove is squirming around, avoiding Paul's attempts to control the action.
Paul has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Paul is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Truelove is in real trouble.

and Paul counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Paul throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Truelove colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Paul as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Truelove is left battered and dazed whilst Paul and his camp cheer!
