The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Out closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Out trying to control the action but Thaiday is working from the bottom.
Thaiday is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Out connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Thaiday some visible discomfort.

Thaiday is bucking up trying to escape but Out cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Out has hold of Thaiday's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Thaiday manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Out postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Thaiday looks a forlorn figure.

Thaiday really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Out. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Thaiday counters with a left and a right that stings Out.
Out dives in and grabs Thaiday's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thaiday pushes down on Out's head and hops out.
Out shoots in and drives through. Thaiday sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tap Out. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Out will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Out. Thaiday does a little dance to reset his feet.

Thaiday uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Out.

Out closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Thaiday is breathing heavily.

Thaiday is staying active underneath Out, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Out is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thaiday defends it well.
