The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Destroyer seems to be working for a kimura but Moroney defends the submission attempt.

Destroyer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Destroyer wants to work for an arm triangle but Moroney is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moroney is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Moroney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Destroyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moroney wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Destroyer drops back looking for a leg! Moroney is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moroney manages to kick Destroyer off! Destroyer jumps back into Moroney's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Destroyer won't allow Moroney to sweep him here.

Destroyer drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Destroyer seems to have locked his on tight now - Moroney screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Destroyer, as he picks up the win!
