The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Sawyer.
Sawyer leaves Tortuga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tortuga takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Sawyer wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tortuga manages to pass to side control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tommy Tortuga hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sawyer cracks Tortuga with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Sawyer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Tortuga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sawyer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tortuga somewhat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Cyrus Sawyer will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Sawyer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tortuga on the side of the head.
Tortuga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sawyer sprawls well. Sawyer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tortuga gets slowly back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

and Tortuga counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sawyer won't be happy with that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Let's hope that Tortuga has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tommy Tortuga was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Tortuga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sawyer's waist but Sawyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tortuga off to one side.
