Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lito Lapid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Art Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapid fails with a takedown attempt.

Lapid drives through with a takedown into Brooks's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lapid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lapid drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brooks dives on top into guard.

Lapid had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brooks defends it easily.

Lapid throws his legs up looking for a submission but Brooks uses it to pass to side control.

Brooks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lapid is looking for a sweep.

Brooks content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Lapid manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brooks's best efforts.

Lapid is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brooks pulls his head out easily.
Lapid moves into full guard.

Brooks stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lapid shoots for a double leg takedown but Brooks sprawls well. He's pushed Lapid's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lapid tries for a takedown but Brooks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lito Lapid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brooks throws a sloppy head kick and Lapid moves out of range easily.

Lapid shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lapid was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Brooks sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Lapid is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brooks wants to get back to full guard.

Lapid seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brooks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
