The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Rafkatovich. No joy for Kozlov on that attempt.

Kozlov clinches up against the cage.
Rafkatovich prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rafkatovich takes an elbow to the forehead.

That has opened up Timur Rafkatovich's cut even more.
Rafkatovich wants to take the fight to the mat but Kozlov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Rafkatovich wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rafkatovich tries to circle away but Kozlov has him pinned against the cage.

Kozlov pulls Rafkatovich into guard.
Kozlov seems keen to control Rafkatovich's posture.

Kozlov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rafkatovich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rafkatovich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Kozlov wants to stand up but Rafkatovich is controlling him.
Rafkatovich wants to pass the guard but Kozlov is keeping the position.

Rafkatovich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kozlov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rafkatovich has managed to get both his arms back between Kozlov's legs - danger averted.

Kozlov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
