The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moss takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Moss closes the distance and pushes Rome back into the cage.
Moss misses with a punch to the body.
Moss with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Moss goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Rome working hard to break the clinch.

Moss tries to work over Rome's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Moss gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Moss is trying to control. Rome wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Moss content to control rather than advance.

Moss is trying to work for a kimura but Rome is defending well.
Rome avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Moss.
Moss is pressing down on Rome's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rome is holding on for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moss throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Moss looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rome is not content to let Moss control the position.
Moss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Moss works his way into side control.

Moss wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rome, who protects the arm well.
Rome is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Moss asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moss works to advance to full mount. Rome defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Rome is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Moss locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Rome is forced to tap!
