Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dom Fartch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Riddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dom Fartch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Riddler!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fartch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Riddler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Riddler swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Riddler lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Riddler throws a head kick that misses

and Fartch counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fartch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riddler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fartch passes Riddler's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riddler wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Riddler avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fartch.
Fartch looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dom Fartch.
Fartch connects with a leg kick. Riddler looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Riddler looks gassed!
Fartch shoots in looking for a takedown but Riddler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fartch's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Riddler misses with an uppercut. Fartch saw that one coming.

Fartch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fartch passes Riddler's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Fartch gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Riddler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riddler throws a lazy uppercut

so Fartch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fartch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Riddler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fartch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're going to have a standup here because Dom Fartch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Riddler throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fartch sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Riddler lands a nice hook to Fartch's body. Fartch takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fartch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Riddler circles away quickly and effectively.
Riddler throws a right and a left that Fartch avoids nicely.
Fartch throws a right and a left that both miss.
Riddler lands a nice shot to the body.
Fartch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Riddler avoids it really well and circles away.
Riddler tries a head kick but it misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riddler scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Fartch checks the leg kick nicely there.
Riddler misses with a left hand
and Fartch counters with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riddler slips a jab and a cross from Fartch.
Riddler misses with a lunging right hand
and Fartch counters with a two punch combo.
Fartch takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fartch looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Fartch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Riddler defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dom Fartch dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Riddler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dom Fartch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fartch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Riddler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fartch on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Riddler throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Fartch counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fartch trying to control but Riddler is working from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Riddler can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fartch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Riddler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fartch passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fartch wants to take a breather but Riddler is having none of it.
Fartch is really struggling to control Riddler but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Riddler scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Fartch manages to mount him!
Riddler is breathing heavily.
Fartch punishing his opponent with strikes.

Fartch working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Riddler turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Fartch off and cradles Riddler's limp body as Fartch celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Dom Fartch!
In his post fight interview, Dom Fartch gave a big smile as he said 'thanks to the drugs! its all thanks to the snoofty!'.
